The New York Post has the “BEST” cartoon section…Racist monkey photos of President Obama…

February 26, 2009

You all know that I am one sarcastic “SON OF A MUTHA”…So for those who don’t know what I am about…I do NOT believe the New York Post has the best anything…Well maybe the best chance at a lawsuit one day…Anyways…I thought it was 2009, but apparently we are back in the 40’s 50’s and 60’s….Shame on that asshole  Sean Delonas for drawing such a stupid cartoon…obama-cartoon

And KUDOS to this brilliant cartoonist who is quick on his feet!!!funny

This artist isn’t the only one who took their own action against this ignorant display of racism… Singer John Legend wrote an open letter to the place that writes bullshit in black and white, then publishes and distributes to areas in the Tri State in hopes of pissing the world off…jl2_1A recently published cartoon by the New York Post – that many believed was linked to President Obama — has upset a lot of people. The Rev. Al Sharpton called it “troubling at best.” The New York Post did not apologize by any common meaning of the word in a subsequent editorial: it defended the cartoon and mocked all fair-minded Americans by “apologizing” if the cartoon that the Post claimed was innocuous “offended” anyone…So sad!!! Here’s his open letter to the Editor:

Dear Editor:

I’m trying to understand what possible motivation you may have had for publishing that vile cartoon depicting the shooting of the chimpanzee that went crazy. I guess you thought it would be funny to suggest that whomever was responsible for writing the Economic Recovery legislation must have the intelligence and judgment of a deranged, violent chimpanzee, and should be shot to protect the larger community. Really? Did it occur to you that this suggestion would imply a connection between President Barack Obama and the deranged chimpanzee? Did it occur to you that our President has been receiving death threats since early in his candidacy? Did it occur to you that blacks have historically been compared to various apes as a way of racist insult and mockery? Did you intend to invoke these painful themes when you printed the cartoon?

If that’s not what you intended, then it was stupid and willfully ignorant of you not to connect these easily connectable dots. If it is what you intended, then you obviously wanted to be grossly provocative, racist and offensive to the sensibilities of most reasonable Americans. Either way, you should not have printed this cartoon, and the fact that you did is truly reprehensible. I can’t imagine what possible justification you have for this. I’ve read your lame statement in response to the outrage you provoked. Shame on you for dodging the real issue and then using the letter as an opportunity to attack Rev. Sharpton. This is not about Rev. Sharpton. It’s about the cartoon being blatantly racist and offensive. I believe in freedom of speech, and you have every right to print what you want. But freedom of speech still comes with responsibilities and consequences. You are responsible for printing this cartoon, and I hope you experience some real consequences for it. I’m personally boycotting your paper and won’t do any interviews with any of your reporters, and I encourage all of my colleagues in the entertainment business to do so as well. I implore your advertisers to seriously reconsider their business relationships with you as well.

You should print an apology in your paper acknowledging that this cartoon was ignorant, offensive and racist and should not have been printed. I’m well aware of our country’s history of racism and violence, but I truly believe we are better than this filth. As we attempt to rise above our difficult past and look toward a better future, we don’t need the New York Post to resurrect the images of Jim Crow to deride the new administration and put black folks in our place. Please feel free to criticize and honestly evaluate our new President, but do so without the incendiary images and rhetoric.

Etta James to Beyonce’…She’ll get her Ass Whipped!!!! Oh…just kidding!!!!!

February 6, 2009

etta_james_beyonce_bw-thumb-473x330The newly famous phrase has been circulating throughout the net ever since they left Etta’s profanity tainted lips!!! At a performance, Etta complained to the audience about Beyonce singing for the president at his inaugural ball…Stating… “You guys know your President, right? You know the one with the big ears? Wait a minute, he ain’t my President, he might be yours but he ain’t my President.”  Then she goes on to say… “I tell you that woman he had singing for him, singing my song, she gonna get her ass whooped… The great Beyonce … but I can’t stand Beyonce. She has no business up there, singing up there on a big ol’ president day … singing my song that I’ve been singing forever.” Last time I checked…That song was originally made by Mack Gordon and Harry Warren in 1941…Then performed originally by Glenn Miller and his orchestra waaayyy before Etta James made it into a hit…So, in all actuality…It isn’t your song boo!!!!

Singer Etta James says she was just joking when she told a Seattle concert crowd she “can’t stand” Beyoncé and poked fun of President Obama. James tells New York’s Daily News, “I didn’t really mean anything. Even as a little child, I’ve always had that comedian kind of attitude. …That’s probably what went into it.”

She added that the crowd liked it, so she kept on rolling. “Nobody was getting mad at me in Seattle. They were all laughing, and it was funny.” She said the jokes were “not from a vicious place.”

But James did admit she was miffed about not being invited to perform her signature song for Obama’s first dance with his wife on inauguration night. James was “feeling left out of something that was basically mine, that I had done every time you look around,” she said. And while she said she liked Bey’s performance when asked if she thought she could have done better, James answered, “I think so. That’s so sad to say that.

After reading some reviews, her audience was under the assumption that she was intoxicated and displeased with her performance. You think this riff between Etta James and Bey would’ve been the result of Beyonce’s portrayal of the singer in Cadillac Records, but clearly this is a case of jealousy. Frankly, I would’ve been pissed if someone had to gain weight to play my character, act like a whore and junkie that could sing…Well that’s just me. Long live the queen…Seems like all of the earlier divas, even some of the new ones keep hating on Beyonce. I personally love her…Maybe it’s because she is light skinned??????

Nov 4th 2008…Barack Obama is announced President of the USA…and the race wars begin…

November 5, 2008

Even though I am glad to hear that we finally have a democrat in the office…excuse me…Head of office…Head of the State..Head of the country, You get  my drift…I was very upset at my husband who decided to wake me up at 5:30 this morning to give me the heads up. It was a long wait, and I am happy that the US decided to try something new. Of course with the new, comes speculation and disagreement. There were a few key states that helped along with the decision for president…Mine of course, Virginia and some others. Surprisingly, there were a lot more caucasion voters, middle to upper class on Obama’s side. That’s what they said on the news, so don’t start with me…But it is true. We have a lot of work ahead of us and people are questioning and starting to point fingers at the President and his ability to change our financial situation. I’m fine with him as long as he keeps his word to try and build up the economy and he doesn’t follow through with the military cut…WE NEED OUR $$$…Yeah, I’m going back in, so sue me. Anyways…I get my Yahoo alerts and when they were talking about Obama and his plans for his time in office, I decided to read the article. Along with this article is a comment section where people get to voice their opinion about Mr. President…some of the comments I read were a little… no…very racist, and it kinda got to me…so I decided to copy and paste some stupidity on my blog postt o let you see for yourself. Racism is very much alive in this country and I hope some day, it will come to an end…but until then…enjoy what our melting pot has to offer….

Someone said: “I don’t want to make this statement to sound racist,” There is no racism anymore. When someone mentions racism, just say: Black President, move along” I guess this all means that we won’t be getting that free gasoline and mortgage payments like we were promised?

Unfortunately the kool-aid drinking and uneducated populace that elected this terrorist loving, tax and spend socialist, in sheep’s clothing, don’t realize what they’ve done. At least, I said No to BO. I am the Rightguard against this BO! Long live the USA and not the U.S.S.A.!

sharyl.rhoades – Wednesday November 05, 2008 02:24PM EST

after last night, I thought I must be alone in understanding the ramifications of a single party gov’t and that Obama’s done a lot of talking the last 24 months without ever saying anything…………am glad to see that some Americans didn’t drink the kool-aid and are still rational and thoughtful………………..

What a big surprise. Our new Liberal government is already blaming all the future failures of the Obama administration on the Republicans. I am not surprised, I expected this much. Since when has a Democrap actually admitted to their faults, and accepted accountability? It’s time for our new “Golden Boy” to show us all the magic he has been promising. You wanted the job, now fix everything like you have promised! And please, adhere to your motto about “Change”, and stop looking to the past as the reason for your future failures. It’s going to be a long 4 years.

Iam with James I – taht is I, too, am sticking with my guns and religion. In fact, more guns and more religion will probably be best. The people that elected him are TAKERS, they ALL want something – even though they were getting it already, they were told they weren’t and they believed it. Amazing how 45 miilion plus people would elect a redical upstart over an experienced American hero – simply amazing (and very scary). I say give them THEIR country and we’ll take evrything else (give em New York, California and Florida cause thats where they are).

Mr. Hussein will have a very short honeymoon with the folks who elected his liberal behind, I predict a huge terrorist attack on us americans within 6 months or a year, and much worse times ahead economically, militarily, and businesswise due to higher taxes. Hope all the young voters who elected this man will be happy, and all the rest of the world who have no say will be happy also. i know Hamas will be happy, Kim Jong of N. Korea is thrilled, as is Castro, and all the anti-Jewish folks are delighted. I can’t believe Florida went for Mr. Hussein.

Hey. Fact: Bill Clinton reversed the deficit in such effectiveness, the Debt Clock stopped! Bill Clinton got caught getting his dick sucked, he lied, and then America said – OMG! He’s the devil!! But George Bush has been caught in his fair share of lies and all he is to the people is a dumbass. What we need is a black man in office. It’s not like white people have faced the oppression the black people in America have faced, and with resilience they survived. Bring it home Obama!! Shite, all white people can remember for oppression is their taxes and tariffs

Acknowledge reality? Come on! He is the ONE who said that he was going to change the world. And his followers accepted his word on that. So the rest of us, the ones who did not eat that bull*** expect him to deliver and soon.

This guy, I call him Curious George because he looks so similar, will be no unifier – you can forget all that because it’s a pipe dream. The republican party turned it’s back on the conservative base, and there was revolt. The conservative base will be a continued voice of dissent and I anticipate much divisiveness over the next four years. Curious George will just continue to polarize the country, because as much as everyone disliked Bush, the detractors and critics will be much more vociferous and boistureous with the socialist in place. I think we can all look forward to a very, very dark four years. Rough times ahead for this country. And how about that first lady? Yeee-Haaw, is she a beauty. This is going to be painful to watch as an American.

Yahoo! Finance User – Wednesday November 05, 2008 02:11PM EST

This country has been dumbed to such a low level it is sickening.. You can tell by who the American people elected as the most powerful man in the world! Our horrible education system has finally played out! Free gas and mortgages! That is actually what people think is going to happen! I think I saw lines outside the unemployment offices with people with empty paper sacks lookin for their cash!

pmagnuski – Wednesday November 05, 2008 02:31PM EST

Gotta love the moron Obama supporters! Everyone in the financial community knows that the single biggest reason for the economic collapse was the Clinton Admin. forcing the Freddie Mac’s to loosen up their lending practices so poorer people can have homes as well. When they couldn’t pay (duh!), look what happened. Everyone of those people voted for Obama. The tail wagging the dog. Now, we get to be just like Europe! Muslims and more poor who love the country but hate the legal citizens will be storming in. I am going to sit back and enjoy total Democratic control (now, no one else to blame) and saying “I told you so”.
