“Once Upon A Time In The Bricks” Street Promotion
February 18, 2008Feb 15, 2008, Newark, New Jersey…My mother, best friend Nelressa Stallings and I decided to go downtown and pass out flyers for my debut novel “Once Upon A Time In The Bricks”. I must’ve been excited because I just drove into town that morning from Virginia, with no sleep at all. The day was cold and a little windy, but I managed to get some autographs on the flyers to people and take pictures without running back to the car for a break. We were also in New Brunswick doing the same. I was a little nervous because my mother isn’t really a “People person”, but she knocked it out with no problem. She was a little worried about people not keeping the flyers once they got it…I let her know that it would be ok, as long as they got the message…”ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE BRICKS WILL BE OUT SOON!…BUY MY BOOK!” So all in all, it was a progressive day.
