ThE “bLaCk PuNkY bReWstEr”

Have you watched any music videos recently? Well, for a while I stopped because of the lack of talent displayed daily across my screen…but a few days ago, I began to wonder…Why are all of these people on television with not even an ounce of talent? Music has taken a big downfall ever since alot of rappers decided to make songs about nothing!!! I thought music was supposed to have substance, you know? Isn’t music usually inspired by people or feeling, events that take place in one’s life or even family/friends?                                             Before people would complain about Delores Tucker…     “Oh she’s a sell-out” , “Oh…she thinks she is white!”  None of those comments were true…She just wanted music to be what it was in her time…good! She didn’t want the songs to disrespect women or her people…and everyone took it out of context. I wonder what she would say about Soulja Boy…I’m sorry…he is an adorable kid, but his music is just stupid…straight idiotic! The few songs I’ve heard, some I can’t name…literally make me upset! Who actually told him that the stupid song “Yaah” would be a hit? I don’t even consider those lyrics, but yesterday I forced myself to listen…Very stupid, and it is an embarrassment to African Americans. I thought all of those stupid and degrading Mc Donald’s and Burger King commercials on T.V. and radio were ridiculous…I even thought the stupid “Laffy Taffy” song was ignorant…and many, many more…but when I heard this “thing” yesterday…I was literally sick to my stomach! And the ending of the song is bragging about having “D’s” on his report card…”Throw some D’s on it…”? Yeah, I bet that is all he gets. People…we have had a bad four years and counting…Let’s stop! Can we please have some real artists? I love old music, from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s…I would like to hear some new music that I can add to the list!
